Negative Status effects don't work because chirrut cleanses them (or rex, gk too).
Against Chaze, you can use:
- thrawn
- chaze
- DN
- zFinn Resistamce
- dispel toons with strategy
I dont have Thrawn or Chaze or DN or resistance, so i use dispel with strategy:
- Your dispel should be your fastest
- target dps (like wedge, or chirrut)
- do NOT take their health if you cant kill that toon right away because chirrut can trigger taunt with his health equalizer/cleanse if his allies are below 100% health
- you can use an aoe debuff early to trigger chirruts health equalizer/cleanse while his buddies are at full health, so baze wont taunt, and then they dont get tenacity up
- dont let your team die, because that will trigger bazes taunt. You need a great tank like GK.
- buff your characters early so bazes aoe doesnt hit hard
- once you take out their main dps character, go for the next one with the same strategy, and dont try to kill baze before chirut is dead
However, if they have a really fast r2, you would have to stun him with raid han or get alot of burst damage. At g11, my team can kill baze on an r2 team before my GK dies.

I used to use boba before r2 to give me 2 dispels.
