Old Ben remains a reliable mid-tier tank even in the late game. So switching to Kenobi should be done right about the time you at least to G11 or so. Though the jump from G11-12 is pretty easy for GK so it'll happen quickly.
Just don't completely write off Old Ben. He'll be a great backup tank in a few teams for your GAC squads.
