To be honest, I don't think you will be able to unlock Commander Luke this time as a FTP. Without EP at 7* you will have a hard time getting R2-D2 7*. Aside from that, you didn't mention your other empire chacacters, which won't be easy to get if you have them under 6*/5*.
Getting Commander Luke in the coming event, as a FTP, will be impossible.
The same goes for me, I don't have Leia nor Old Ben and I'm afraid I won't be able to get them in time unless we get double drops/guaranteed drops.
