I'm not sure how much use Ackbar's new Omicron will be. To make the best use of it, you want Rebals who have non-Attack abilities and who aren't already assigned to a better traditional squad. So anyone who normally goes with CLS is pretty much out. There is no advantage in putting any of Phoenix under Ackbar instead of Hera. Same for Rebel Fighters are Mon Mothma. And the traditional Rogue One Squad probably all still work best in that Squad.We're kiinda running out of cnadidates here ...So far, I've got;Bistan (Frenzy doesn't count as an attack)Bodhi Rook (his Intercept Communications isn't an attack, anyone know if his Spotter counts?)Captain Han Solo (Hunker Down and Search And Rescue are not attacks)Hoth Rebel Soldier (his Hold The Line ability isn't an attack)Lobot (Optimise isn't an attack)Pao (Sa'kalla isn't an attack)Stormtrooper Han (Draw Fire isn't an attack)Putting a decent Grand Arena squad together out of that lot is going to be tricky.Maybe as a defensive squad with Ackbar, Stormtrooper Han, Captain Han, Pao and Bistan??

I think all of Bodhi's abilities count as attacks, unfortunately. I know the debuffing ones do, and as the other one removes tm, it probably does as well.Stormtrooper Han, Leia, and Captain Han are probably ones you'd want to run--the latter two being leftovers you were forced to gear up for other characters. Bistan could work. Pao you need for Mon Mothma. You could always run Chaze. When all those HoTs expire, that's a lot of tm.On reddit, one of the big theories is Fulcrum because of consuming all the buffs on Whirlwind. But by that token, if you were sold on Bodhi, he also hands out buffs and contributes to the tm train directly through his abilities. But I would say you need damage dealers like Leia and Fulcrum for sure.Also, it's not a defense squad unless you're very low league. This omni will be more like Iden if it works well, where you can pull off a clutch win with leftovers, thus freeing up your stronger teams for elsewhere, including defense.

Chewpio will be assisting anyway and with Akbar's lead plus his Omi, I think non damage abilities become calls for mass swarms where the 4 other Rebels are assisting ( 2 from the Omi, 1 from the Akbar lead, Chewpio assist ).

See that's the thing. BHs are one of the most standard defense teams. Everybody has a BH team with Kuil on defense in Kyber1.
And with Zam's omicron, you now need to pull it from defense, to get value from the omicron.

Dash's is great, unless your opponent knows how to kill a Dash team.

Most of my guildmates are in k1 and some post the defense they face on discord. I’ve never seen a BH team with Kuil. Quite interesting though.

Just a small note. The way I understand it, the 2 assists overwrites the Akbar lead assist, not supplements it. So that's 2 from OmiAkbar total, not 3. But havent tested yet.

You could be right, but I'm not sure. The Akbar leadership is a random Rebel ally while the Omi is the two weakest. If the Omicron wipes out the normal Akbar lead, then the team is also losing out on the +25 speed boost, which would drop some of the luster off the shiny new toy.

The way I think it works is

- two weakest assisting
- Chewpio assisting
- Akbar calling random rebel to assist, the remaining of the 4 that hasn't assisted yet

I don't know how CG identifies who the two weakest are... is it just based off of health or health + protection? Is it locked in from the start of the battle or will it change as the battle goes on and characters take damage?

Should be interesting to see. I'll also be going after the Leia omi once I get the mats. I think there's a lot of potential here for some fun team comps.

Doesn’t change the fact that they’re amazing on offense. Zams omi let’s BH handily counter GAS without the need of Gideon.

I don't think most people would split up a CLS team for this, but I'm curious about trying Ezra on the squad. While debuffing characters like 3PO don't call the assist, if I recall, Ezra's actually does. Because he calls an assist, and then he assists, but the ability does not directly implement a negative effect, it for some reason doesn't count as an attack (confirmed WAI, at least at one point). So this is potentially a huge chain of attacks under Ackbar omi. Leia's should help this team too.

I was thinking if you don’t have enough toons for mothma and left overs for ackbar, or don’t have mothma good enough to lead, that putting mothma as a weakest on an ackbar team

Her basic is all Allies gain health and protection, plus reviving, with constant assist she would always be healing team, similar to bossks bh lead.

add a tank with no attack abilities for taunt (stormy Han, old ben, srp) and a couple attackers leia, bistan, wedge, Biggs

Could be rather annoying
