What about people who feel they should probably communicate more, but not because they feel entitled.
There have been several reasonable posts asking for information and just plain communication about events and toon release.
Is that ok?
We could probably talk quite a while about what, "should probably communicate more" means to each user. Here, I'll start:
Basic mechanic is, here's a toy-maker carving out a new toy car. His son comes in and says, "hey dad, when will you finish this one?" Dad says, "oh, maybe tonight." What does the kid do? How can this boy help himself be patient while the toy being built is done? For each of us, it is likely different because we are all different people and personalities. One son might check back tomorrow, one might check back every 5 minutes to see if the toy is done early. Should the toy-maker work faster? I know I'd like him too, but not at the expense of the quality of the toy. Should he tell me what he's doing in the process every time I ask? Don't know if he should. He COULD, but what good does it help me? At some point, I will realize, whether he verbally lists each step ("chisel stroke 237...chisel stroke 238, whoop, almost hit my finger"), or simply smiles at my impatient excitement and persistent requests, that it's not done until it's done. "But dad, are you still working on it?" "Yup." "Still?!" "Yup." After too many, "yups" it just loses all meaning. So my personal preference, surprisingly (or not surprisingly) is that less is more, in this case. I don't need a post each 3 days saying, "and were humming right along continuing with our art, graphics, balancing, etc, etc, etc, teams getting closer to the next update." However, I can certainly see how some personalities might enjoy that. For me, it would be monotonous.
I not-so-secretly wish I could peer through the window and watch the entire process, simply because it's so interesting, and because I can't wait for what's next. On the other hand, I'm in no way slowing my play or conviction to take 1st at payout each day just because the devs haven't posted in 'X' amount of days.
At the end of the day, we all love this game SO MUCH, that we can't even wait one second to get our hands on the next thing! This is a good problem. :)
@Dryff thanks for a thought-provoking post.
