Yoda Immediate bonus turn not immediate

@BobcatSkywalker I'm with you on this one , the only bonus turn to have the wording immediate in it and it's not lol.

They should change the wording on GMY's ability description. However, I doubt it will happen.

Bonus turns resolution were adjusted with the new overflow mechanic.

So if two units both have a bonus turn, turn order is:

1 - Unit with the highest Turn Meter overflow value

2 - If multiple units are tied with the exact same Turn Meter overflow value, the unit with the highest Speed will act

3 - If multiple units are tied with the exact same Turn Meter overflow value and the same Speed, one of them will be chosen randomly

I believe OP refers to the wording "immediate bonus turn" as opposed to "bonus turn" - not the recent update to the mechanics.

IIRC the devs specifically coded yoda's ability to work as intended (always take immediate turn and can't be interrupted by another character) Since Yoda's ability specifically says take an immediate bonus turn. Yoda masterstrike and Thrawn TM swap were immediate turns.

Previously Yoda's kit prevented other characters from interrupting his "Immediate" bonus turn since that destroys the main utility of Yoda if his immediate turn is interrupted and he can not spread the buffs he stole. Same with Thrawn.

devs fixed the interaction of someone interrupting Yodas bonus turn to make Yodas ability immediate. It would be odd that they intentionally broke Yoda's immediate turn again without announcing a nerf.

Here is a just one discussion about Yoda and thrawn from last year. I can't find the dev post where devs confirmed Yoda should be immediate but maybe Kyno can locate it. It was a popular post.

There were many discussions about bonus turn and immediate bonus turn and how the devs intended certain kits to play out in combat.

Thawn and Yoda should be the only two who get immediate guaranteed uninterrupted bonus turn, Yoda on masterstroke and thrawn on his TM swap.

I know CG changed turn meter ties but CG didn't change the definition of immediate. If a kit says immediate something that somethinrg should be the very next thing to happen.

Yeah, i agree with you OP. I think that the description does not match the effect. Could upgrade either, i would not mind.

I will ask, but most likely this is all WAI.

It's the same for Han's Shoots first, thanks to the turn meter overhaul he won't shoot first under certain circumstances. The reason why this wasn't implemented correctly may be time and/or money, or maybe they just weren't able to make it work with the new system. Nobody knows and probably we'll never know.

Same problem for me. Except my Yoda triggered relentless barrage from b2.
