Re: GA matchmaking includes ship GP

Good to know but how exactly does this bug go under QoL?
It is a bug, nothing more and nothing less. Saying it is an "improvement in matchmaking" does not make it any less of a bug and make it go under QoL category.

What is the definition of a bug? In general, I consider the definition of a bug (with respective to this forum) as an unintended effect of the code that causes the game to behave in an unexpected manner.

The Developers decided that all players should match versus their overall GP. Whether that's right, wrong, good, or bad - it was an intentional decision that they made and implemented. Now, after receiving community feedback over that decision, they have decided that it would be more fair to exclude Ship GP from GAs that don't require ships. However, I don't think it really counts as a "bug" - it seems to fit more into Quality of Life improvements. They heard the community complain about an intentional game feature, and they are making a change as a result.

FYI I work as a QA so I know what a bug is, and this behaviour is a bug as this threatens the value of the product to the users by being disturbing and irritating to them. That's the definition of a bug - Something that bugs someone whose opinion matters and therefore threatens the value of the product. Unless of course The Developers don't think that the users opinions matter. Then it isn't a bug indeed.
