If it's related to performance issues (or memory being filled up, as in the log of the original post), then closing the app entirely and reopening it might solve the issue - or at least reduce the likelihood of a crash. Might be good to do it before any important battles.

@Dashrunner_512 That's exactly what I do now. I never get the crash immediately. It's always when I'm in the app for a while so almost exhibiting some sort of memory leak or memory corruption issues of some sort. But yes, restart the game, close all other apps before going into battles that you cannot re-do (ie, GAC, TB, etc).
- @tommybobaf3tt For me not this way. Usually at the end of a battle, when “Victory” or “Loss” title comes up, the game closes in a second, without any sign.
- tommybobaf3tt5 years agoSeasoned Scout@nobulabula I was just trying to find a way to consistently replicate the issue; I appreciate the game crashes in all sort of places and ways. We should try to help EA/CG to identify what triggers/events are causing these crashes. I have noticed the game does use on awful lot of internal memory, and assuming it’s a memory usage related issue, clearing cache device before playing the game may help minimise the chance of a crash.
Let’s hope EA/CG are actively working on a fix, would be nice to have an update!! 😭 Also just crashed for me in Phase 4 Geo TB, fleet battle, just after team selection and clicking start. No warning no message, the app just closed. Of course it still counted as a loss.
iPhone8, iOS 14.4
@tommybobaf3ttYeah, now I clear the memory cache before start every important battle, hopefully it will avoid the crash. BTW it shouldn’t be the solution. CG must solve it!
Shame on this cynicism from EA, or CG about this issue has been solved.
Better not write here what I think of them 🤬- StaHoo815 years agoRising Rookie@Dashrunner_512 Memory ‘filling up’ as you call it is very common issue in gaming pc world. Memory leaks usually happen when data is not being offloaded from RAM after ‘use’ let’s say it needs to render the entire fight, and after it should clear RAM out of remnants of this fight, what it does is leave it there, try to load everything else... Depending on size of memory your phone has it’ll fill faster or slower but still overflowing at some stage and iOS is resetting full RAM (crash) Androids devices (freeze-can’t load anymore, but won’t shut down what’s there already)
