I ran a normal combat mission with IG-88 in phase 4 and I got credit for it. Currently at 3/12 after phase 4.

Ok, it is confirmed that the special missions are bugged and not updating the quest counter properly. I just completed the phase 5 special bounty hunter mission and I am still at 3/12 on the quest counter. I have a video, but it is too large to upload. I need to find a way to compress it, so give me a bit of time to do that.

We've flagged this as a bug now.
Ok, so what is the solution? Will we get credit for the 2 missing TB wins with IG-88 or can you just lower the requirement to 8 wins? I DO NOT want to have to wait for 3 DSTBs to complete this quest. That's too long and I think the player base is already feed up with the time it takes for some of these quests. It's not the time it takes for completing the requirements, but the WAITING for the opportunity to complete them means that we need to plan for when those windows arrive. And missing the opportunity to complete the requirements because of a "bug" is not acceptable for me and probably a lot of other players. Swings and misses with new content is one thing, but when it fails to function as intended, that is what is going to ultimately end my enjoyment for this game.
Is this bug going to be fixed before the next DSTB? Myself and others pursing this quest have worked very hard to try to get the IG-88 quest done within 2 DSTBs. Delivering bugged content to your player base makes them reluctant to open up their wallets for that content. Dropping the requirement to 8 battles vs 12 seems like a simple and fair solution to avoid this from carrying on into 3 DSTBs.

Unfortunately, I can't provide an ETA as to when this will be fixed. Rest assured, that we have not forgotten about it!
So what's the status on this? Do I really have to wait an entire month from now to complete this? I've cleared 12 of 12 TB missions and I'm sitting at 10 of 12 (I didn't use IG-88 on the special missions this last TB and I got credit for all 6). I really would like to be credited for the bugged missions. Bugs like these and the lack of proper follow up is making my wallet hard to open 🙂

The decision as to when a bugfix will be implemented is up to the studio and we usually have very little influence on it.
As of today, I have no update available, but keep an eye on the patch-notes to be up-to-date.
This is frustrating. Could be moving on to the next quest but nope. The extremely frustrating part is that now while we are waiting months for a fix, we are not putting a dent into the ridiculous “500” achievements for the next character.
Any plans to fix this or is it just being ignored? When I have to bump a 6 month old thread it seems like it’s being ignored. We’ve had some people complain over the latest TB that this bug affected them.
If the devs can't fix the counter they could at least change the quest text to specify that special missions do not count. Not a fix, but that way it's a feature, not a bug.
Also, if this is a "known issue," why isn't it acknowledged on the main forum? The newly posted list of "known issues" from 1/19/2019 included a similar quest bug for Endor Allies (not counting all types of Stormtroopers).
C'mon, CG & EA. Stop burying this one. I know it's minor and impacts less than 0.01% of the game population, but it's sloppy as heck.
I just went into a Geo TB with 11/12 battles completed and used IG-88 with Traya, DN, Sion, and Thrawn. I got 4/4 in the battle, celebrated, and found out that it didnt register the win, even though I did exactly what the description said -Win 12 battles with IG-88 in territory battles. It doesnt say he needs to be alive by the time I win, that he has to be with bounty hunters, or something along that nature. I have attached screenshots to show that I've used that team, havent completed any other battles, I won the battle, and IG-88 isnt in any platoons to give him away.
