Re: Missing play point rewards

  • What type of device are you experiencing the issue with? Tablet and phone
  • OS Version:Android
  • Ally Code: 386291929
  • Wifi/Mobile connection: both
  • Troubleshooting steps tried: contacted google and they told me to do  this, didnt help
  • First, please make sure you’ve tried rebooting your device:

    1. Press and hold the power button until the “Power Off” option appears.
    2. Select Power Off > OK.
    3. After the phone has powered off, press and hold the power button again to power it back on.

You may also need to check for sufficient storage space (internal and SD card) on your device:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Device > Storage.
    2. If you have less than 1 GB of free space, try uninstalling unwanted or unused apps, deleting or transferring files off your device, or removing Google Play content that is downloaded for offline use. See this article for instructions on how to uninstall apps.

If the issue persists after a reboot and you have sufficient storage space, you may also need to check your device’s date and time settings:

    1. Navigate to Settings > System > Date & time.
    2. Confirm date and time are accurate, or update if necessary.

You can clear cache and data on both the Google Play Store app and the Download Manager:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Device > Apps > All.
    2. Scroll down and touch "Google Play Store" or "Download Manager." (You’ll need to complete these steps separately for each application.)
    3. Touch "Clear data," then touch "OK."
    4. Touch "Clear cache."

Note that after clearing the Google Play Store app data, if you’ve changed your password protection or content filter options from the defaults, you'll need to re-apply these under Settings.

If issues persist, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Play Store app updates:

    1. Go to Settings > Device > Apps > All > Google Play Store.
    2. Touch "Uninstall updates.” This will revert the Google Play store app to the original version that came with your device.
    3. Launch the Google Play store app, then switch to the Home screen on your phone/tablet.
    4. Wait 5-10 minutes for the app to self-update.
    5. Re-launch the Google Play store app.

To check your version of Google Play, return to Settings > Device > Apps > All, then scroll down and touch Google Play Store. The version number appears under the app name.

Also be sure to check for system updates for your device:

    1. Navigate to Settings > System > About Phone or Tablet > System Updates.
    2. If there are any available system updates, install them.

In addition, I’ve provided some additional troubleshooting steps below that may resolve your issue. Please note that these steps should only be attempted if previous troubleshooting was unsuccessful.

You can try clearing the cache and data for Google Play Services on your device.

WARNING: Clearing the cache and data for Google Play Services can affect other apps and settings on your device. After performing these steps, you should check the other apps on your device to make sure that their settings are still set the way you left them.

To do this, just follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Settings
    2. Scroll down to the "Device" section, and touch Apps
    3. Swipe over to "All"
    4. Scroll down, and touch the Google Play Services app
    5. Touch Clear cache and Clear data

So how long does investigation take usually? Not being able to buy things and not all things offered on web store seems like big issues to me. Would appreciate an update.
