So I actually have a theory to this. I have long suspected based on other evidence that the way SEE and JML handle their transformations is to escape the original unit and summon a new one, but with the same health, etc. as the original.

If this is true, what may be happening here is that SEE has the reduced health from the modifier, then when the new version is summoned it is getting reapplied, with the result that he now has negative max health.
