I was having this issue, but I just managed to get back into my account. I first forced closed the app and cleared cache, then once prompted to choose my login method, I selected the EA account that is bound to my Google account. Then, once prompted to log in as a guest or Google, I selected Google, and I was back into my account.

Same here. EA interface can't switch between accounts. It just takes me back to the same one even though it says it is switching to a different acct. And Google Play doesn't work at all.

Even attempted a full data clearing, including Cache from my device, and i still cannot sign in through Google Play.
This isn't likely something on Google Play's end. It feels as if there was a small tweak in code somewhere on EA's end that made connecting through Google Play unavailable - Laharvey692 months agoNew Novice
I have tried all of the suggestions and nothing works. I keep getting the same message on my Samsung s22+ phone as everyone else is getting. but it works fine on my alt account on my iPad. I hope someone can help us soon. I am a leader of a clan and it is hard not to be on the game when I need to prove to them I am not going to be like our last leader and be MIA for 6 months at a time. Someone please help and fix this problem.

Seems like this only works if your Google and EA accounts are already connected. I get a different error when I try. I even tried on my PC but because my accounts weren't connected already, I still got errors. Seems to be some sort of Google Play and EA communication error (not sure who's to blame ultimately)

When attempting to use a guest account to import an account on top of that, I enter the e-mail tied to my EA Account, put in the code, and then Error message:
An error has occurred that requires restarting the game. Please check your internet connection as poor connection could be the issue, then press "Restart." I did this and at first it worked. I have 3 accounts and now it's stuck on my f2p acc. Even after fresh reinstall it loads that account. When I hit play as guest it goes to my alt aswell

I've been having the same issue on my phone. I've tried:
- Removing GOH, rebooting, reinstalling
- Removing GOH and Google Play Games, reinstalling both, signing into Play Games then launching GOH.
- Removing GOH and Google Play Games, reinstalling both, launching GOH then singing into Play Games through GOH popup.
Out of curiosity, I tossed MEMU on my laptop, spooled up an instance, installed GOH and was able to log in no issue. Still can't get in on my phone.

Im also having this login issue and have 2 accounts... I was able to access my main by logging in thru the guest account and importing my main account. But then I messed up by trying a 2nd time to access my alternate account. It's now logged me into an old account that hasn't been played for years, and I can no longer access either of my more current accounts... tried chatting with ea help and also with Google play support. The issue is known and is being worked on. I have a suspicion that the issue is with Google play and not ea or cg.

Been dealing with this for a month now.
Don't expect a response. They refuse to acknowledge the issue beyond the workaround. It either works or your screwed.
Dont wait. Submit for refunds if you purchased anything.

Hello Everyone,
I found this on reddit and it worked for me....
What works for me is to bring up the details on Google Play Services (in Settings - Apps), then in the upper right corner there will be three dots, click it and chose "uninstall updates". The game should now start and let you connect to your account untill next time the update is installed. You may have to restart your device first after uninstalling the update.
Please note that I made sure that the "auto-update apps" was turned off. in the Google Play Store.
