Could the Edit_char cheat be unlocked in the Sims Legacy edition?

Hi, thank you for replying; however, I tried this before and it appears it does not work for a game installed via EA app.

Perhaps the develop cheats (or at least Edit_char) can be patched into the game in the next updateEA_Solaire is this a possibility?

I’m not please that my sims looks nothing like their family when they age up.

Bumping this thread as no solution has been given. It is a drag not being able to edit children’s and aged up children’s appearance.

The GIT repo owner says in the tutorial "If you're an EA App customer start from step 8."

Did you follow all steps (starting from 8) successfully?

Yes, I did try this; however, this mod does not work with the Sims installed via EA app.

EA_Cade is EA planning to unlock the edit_char cheat in a future patch?

I had no idea this cheat existed! Interesting. Was it available in the original Sims game?

It was available via a mod and it is available now via a mod (it only works if you purchased via Steam). I purchased via EA app. Had I known before I would have purchased via Steam. Basically, when you unlock the cheat via mod it takes you back to the CAS screen and you can edit your sim there.

Search ‘TS1 edit_chat Hidden Develop Tool’ on YouTube and a video by LUCPIX will appear. You will be able to see it in action.

It is very annoying to age up your child sim to have them look totally different from their family (one of my sim’s daughter aged up in a robot skin) and even changed genders. Using the edit_char cheat you will be able to change their appearance when this occurs.

Unfortunately, it crashes the game if tried on a pet :P
