Maybe the Federal Trade Commission?

If you can't get a refund for a product that doesn't work, you should first try contacting the seller directly to explain the issue and request a refund; if that fails, you can: file a complaint with your credit card company if you used one to purchase the item (a "chargeback"), reach out to your state's consumer protection agency, contact the Better Business Bureau, or report the issue to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) depending on the situation and severity of the problem.

  • Hey all,

You can submit a Great Game Guarantee refund request here via the link in "complete the refund request form."

This is an automated process and that should work so long as you meet the below criteria:

    • Within 24 hours after you first launch the game.
    • Within fourteen days from the day you bought it, if you haven’t launched the game.
    • Within fourteen days from the release date if you pre-ordered the game, if you haven’t launched the game.

If you don't meet those criteria please reach out to an advisor at www.Help.ea.com for further assistance.

  • Never issue a chargeback to EA, it will most likely get your account locked. https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/returns-and-cancellations/

Contacting a retailer probably won't work. I know Steam's Refund Policy is also garbage. Ain't no way one single Simmer opens The Sims 2 for less than 2 hours (the required maximum time for a Steam refund).

The other stuff........people don't know how.....do you, because please explain to me, so I can join in on the reporting. nervous laughter

Thank you for being so vigilant. We're all upset over this mess!!
