Okay update on The Sims 2 Legacy in Shadow PC:

If you're experiencing crashes or DirectX 9 errors with The Sims 2 Legacy Edition in Shadow PC, running it in windowed mode can help. Here's how to do that:

  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
  2. Right-click The Sims 2 Legacy Edition and select Properties.
  3. Under the General tab, find Launch Options and enter into the box -w
  4. Close the Properties window and click Play to launch the game.
