If you have Parallels Desktop, I figured out how to run The Sims 2. (Same process as running in Shadow PC.) Still troubleshooting The Sims 1. Launch it in windowed mode and you'll be fine. See details below.

  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
  2. Right-click The Sims 2 Legacy Collection and select Properties.
  3. Under the General tab, find Launch Options and enter into the box -w
  4. Close the Properties window and click Play to launch the game.
