Sims 1 keeps shutting down

Can someone help out a computer noob. My Sims 1 keeps shutting down every couple of minutes after the most recent update. It's making it unplayable. I have no idea what to do to fix this 😭 Am I eve...

Yeah, it's ridiculous. Doesn't even stutter, it just closes. What a joke.
