Sims 1 Legacy Edition crashing on launch

Every time I launch the game on Steam, I see the loading screen and rolling text at the bottom. A few seconds after this, the game crashes completely with no error message at all. Any advice gratefu...

I saw this fix over on the Steam community forums and it seems to work for most people whose game is crashing:

UserData4
UserData5
UserData6
Userdata7
UserData8
3. go to C: > Users > YOUR USERNAME> saved games > Electronic Arts > The Sims 25
4. Paste the folders in here.
