theatregeek459 Please go here:
C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Electronic Arts
and move the "The Sims 25" folder to the desktop. Then try again. This will remove all your user data, if any exists, which would include any corruption there.
If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I also have that same issue. My Users folder is located on U:\ (not C:\) and there's no Saved Games folder to begin with; it hasn't created one yet. I have set the resolution to 3840x2160 for the 55" screen and Nvidia's drivers are up-to-date. I tried temporarily relocating Program Files\EA Games\The Sims Legacy\UserData folder elsewhere, but to no avail.
thehabs11 If you've launched the game, the folder exists somewhere. Please look in the default location I listed. If you don't find it, you can search Windows for "The Sims 25" (without quotes).
The UserData folder in "The Sims Legacy" is different.
