The Sims 1 Legacy Collection keeps on crashing

I had brought the Sims 1 on Friday as a part of their 25h birthday anniversary bundle.  After I had brought it, I had downloaded it and then I had launched the game. The game is launching just fine and I was able to add the sims and place them in residental and commercial lots. But, the game had kept on crashing every 20-30 minutes. Is there a way, that issue can be resolved?
