I tried to repair mine, and it still crashes in-game. It worked fine until my sim tried to look up magic recipes. The screen goes black and the game closes ☹️...
LovexxSimmerr Did the repair go through or not? If it did complete, what now happens when you try to play? If you get an error message, please post a screenshot.
kristinakks Please create your own thread describing the context of your crashes, for example if you can reproduce the crashing while looking up magic recipes. Please also attach a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

no it didn't go through it keep putting the 2015 vc back in the the sims legacy folder and it still don't work that I deleted it and it keeps crashes
LovexxSimmerr Why are you deleting the VC++ runtimes there? Those are just installers, not the runtimes themselves, and you don't need to touch them. If the game won't open after the repair, you can manually uninstall and reinstall the runtimes, as described here under "Game won't launch":
By "go through," I mean did the repair complete? Does the game fail to launch, or does it start to launch and crash later? If later, when exactly does it crash?
