The Sims Legacy Collection closing alone

Hi, since the update was done today February 07th, 2025 the game crashing alone got much worse (There is no error on the screen only closes). Before, it took around 20 to 30 min to close alone now in less than 5 min this is happening. My computer can run high-end games without a problem so the problem is obviously from the game. From what I can see online I am not the only one suffering from this.

Thank you.

  • FPersico  Try reseting your user data.  Go here:

    C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Electronic Arts

and moving or renaming the "The Sims 25" folder.  Doing so will remove, but not delete, all your progress.  The idea is to see whether the game is stable with all new data; if it is, you can try restoring some of your old data.  Let me know if you need help with the process.

If the game crashes even with a new folder in place, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
