The Sims Legacy Houses Invisible, Graphics Driver Update Error

Hello, Im having the exact same issue mentioned here: Sims 1 Legacy Bundle - Houses invisible | EA Forums - 11863132 and tried to update my graphics card as puzzleaddict mentioned in that thread. However, I keep getting this popup when trying to install it. any ideas? puzzle mentioned a workaround if needed, i wonder if i need one here. thanks!

    Hi, I've been having similar issues all week trying to install The Sims Legacy Collection. I keep getting to 96% installed and then its stops and sends me an error message saying: VC++ runtime redistribution package was not loaded and install could not happen. I've tried just about every solution online from clearing the cache, reinstalling the EA app, running as administrator, tried to fix the drivers and had geek squad look into it and all they say is its an EA server issue but everyone else seems to have installed it. My Sims 4 also struggles with updates lately. Any help would be so appreciated.
