For almost 25 years now, "my" Sims have been experiencing adventures; stories of all kinds and many of the beginnings; back then "The Sims" still have a place in Sims 4 where they can be remembered. I liked Sims 2 the best of the first three parts. Sims 4 was well on its way to being equal and even better, but then came these "events" where everyone can collect rewards if they complete the events.
It may be that many people wanted exactly this and it is almost expected today that there must be bonus tasks and events. But what's the point? Why wasn't an option built in where exactly this "great" extension can be deactivated?
My Sims experience enough and the many small "mini-tasks" from the calendar were sometimes annoying to "have to" do? Again and again. And now something like events lasting weeks?
The upcoming "From Hobby to Business" pack? I've been waiting for that for years. Just like cars and a multiplayer mode. Now my Sims can earn money directly from their gardening again. There are even plans to expand it with a bakery and winery. The property is big enough and there is already a sales room.
But! I'm not really sure whether I still really enjoy "The Sims 4" in this form and setting and whether I should continue to invest anything? I also think it's a shame that I can no longer play the Sims offline at all and that the many new ideas are being forced on me? You call it "cool"; I call it "inappropriate to the power of 10".
This is my first and probably last post that I will leave here, because I prefer playing the Sims to writing about them. But I wanted to at least point out that you have good ideas, but you never think them through to the end. Are they really going to be liked by everyone? It is precisely for these people that there should be options to hide things that aren't to their liking. And I know that I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
