My suggestions...
Don't start out with too big of a business.
Hire a few employees and call them on rotation if needed. Make sure they gain skills as the business gains levels
Have set hours and send your Sims home for the day.
Use the Energizer for your Sims and some Snapdragons for your employees.
Check each day for employees who have the badges you want- like gold in flower arranging or stocking or which ever you want. :)
Family works best because you can control their moods better. . . So, make a Family Business. :)
