free download sims2
Has sims2 ever been free to download?? and if so or not, is there any talk that it may do??

If anyone can help me it would be appreciated. I am currently playing the sims 3 but I have the sims 2 start up disc and was wondering if I downloaded it would it override sims 3 or will they merge like when you add expansion packs?
