Hi stefnv has message me asking for help about:
"The Sims two logo sometimes will not login the first time" and asked "do u have the 2"
I don't understand exactly what they mean, and I suggested they make a thread to ask, and they asked me to help further.
If anyone knows what he/she is having problems with, would you kindly either message them to help, or reply here.
I can't do much more than this. Hopefully someone out there can help.
I'm not sure what they mean either. Maybe their game doesn't start when they click play? I'm glad you're trying to help. Maybe they'll take your advice and pop in here to try to clarify the problem.
Edit: I just caught that this is the same person who messaged me recently and asked if I play Sims 3. As it happens, I haven't since 2019, so I don't know if there was going to be a followup question if I did.
Ok, so, I just looked in another thread they posted in. The problem seems to be that when they attempt to start their game the first time, it does nothing. When they try to start it a second time, it generally starts up fine.
This is an issue I haven't seen in years. I don't even remember which iteration it was- my disks, the EA Downloader, Ultimate Collection? It resolved at some point. But I do remember that to get the game to launch I had to drag the game's shortcut to my desktop and launched from that.

Did you try the suggestion from the other thread? If you go into Program Files, then the EA folder, then the Sims 2 Legacy folder, then EP9, then TSBin, you will see an application- Sims2EP9. Make a copy of that onto your desktop, then double click it to launch. That may work.
it will not work the first time they’re always is a filled to launch the game again. The second time works with both.
It's strange. I can't think of anything else for you to try right now, but I'll keep looking.
