My sim can't claim a dorm door (Myne Door) (University)

Hello everyone!

This is happening with a family I made. Recently, my sim went to college. Everything went normaly up until the point I tried to claim a Myne Door for him. I can click on the door and select the option, my sim goes to the door, but then the action cancels and the door remains unselected. This happened to every dorm door in the lot. Things I did:

• Tried in different dorm lots, same thing
• Closed and opened the game, nothing changed
• Put a new dorm door to see if the problem was with the already existing doors, but my sim couldn't claim it either 
• Found an old discussion (https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2help/comments/ruqftq/my_sim_cant_claim_a_door_in_a_university_dorm/) saying that it may be because the sim didn't aged up correctly. De-aged the sim with cheats, re-entered the lot to trigger the aging-up, but the problem persists

Anyone having the same issue?
