what was the error message? if you have an error message then you get an error log; uploading that would probably be helpful for the team in troubleshooting
I could try doing that, but in their second release of patch notes they claim to have fixed this bug. So I'm afraid my save for that sim family might be corrupted, I don't think it can be fixed sadly
