New The Sims 2 update

I think the new Sims 2 update is uncorrect. I really love that the Sims 2 is back and I love playing it still, but this new update about changing the UI's size is not fair, because it is unplayable this way. And also, I cannot change any sizes, because it is all grey, and I do not have any options just to play with the game like this - which can be annoying because I cannot see a thing. I saw on Reddit that this problem is not my only. Please, can You somehow change the updates back to normal?
