@heronyx and @Dustlex , EA has stated not only here but on other platforms that there are no plans to bring Sims 2 back. The only way to play the game in today's world is to first purchase an external disk drive, then to find the disks/CDs/DVDs of the game on Amazon, E-Bay, Thrift stores and game stores that sell used games.
@Tremayne4260I don’t understand why ea can sell games from 1980 and SimCity from 2000 but not Sims 2 from 2004. They gave the Sims 2 for the users 2014, but why not for all players ? And what should players who have problems with the disks do? They have to play Sims 4.
I don’t understand and I won’t understand.
Dustlex@Dustlex , I don't have the rational for EA's decision. They know via countless polls, posts and threads here that the fan base wants Sims 2 back in some form or fashion. It is something that is out of my hands.
Sorry to sound so negative, but it was a decision made in 2018.

Many players wish to get Sims 2 on the ea app. But when ea doesn’t bring sims 2 again to the ea app, we have to accept it. ☹️
