Resolution Not Changing

Hi, I bought the Legacy edition of sims 2 4 days ago (March 30th) and I cannot get the resolution to change. I used the Alt + Enter and selected my screen resolution and the game asks if I'd like to keep changes but there is no change. The display remains at 800x600.

The resolution setting appears to change, but the display does not change. I tested every resolution and in all cases the behavior is the same. I also repaired the game and nothing changed.

If anyone else is having this problem, I found out that if you right click on your desktop shortcut, go to properties, compatibility and change high dpi settings override high dpi scaling behavior and hit apply then ok it worked for me.

You can try using the Graphics Rules maker. The people who made it have recommended not using it, but I used it earlier today and it worked for me. Be sure to run it as administrator or it won't be able to write the file it needs to write. Once it finds your game you only need to click "autodetect" and then "save files."
