Sims 2 CD Disks
I still have my old CD disks for Sims 2 from when it first came out. Will I be able to still download and play these on my laptop which has a CD drive?

dyblakeasauras Yes, disks remain playable, although you must do some tweaks to avoid compatibility issues. Let me know if you decide to do so and I can recommend some things to make the installation easier.
How about posting those tweaks anyway? I actually liked Sims 2 and have not been able to play it on my new PC. I really don't want to pay for the mess they seem to have made of the so called update system. At least unless I see they have fixed all the bugs they introduced.
shorty943p Please start a new thread and let me know which version of TS2 you have (Ultimate Collection, or disks; if disks, list the packs and let me know whether they are separate disks or compilations). If you've had any specific issues with the game, please describe them.
have the discs also...have the sims2 double deluxe/w/ nitelife/celebration stuff all on one disc then i have sim2 fun with pets collection disc w/ mansion & garden stuff/family fun stuff on another disc.. The problem is w/ the disc in tray it wont let me install them on the computer... says administrator has blocked this action......HELLO I am the administrator of my computer....so how bout thosetweaks??? it is just 2disc w/ all the packs listed above on them
i got my sims2 disks working also can play them also now , if anyone still interested in making them work i have a link that i used to get them working again. You have to follow all the steps and download all the stuff the site tells u but i did and now i can play w/ sims2 disk
