Sims 2 crashes after update (Steam)

Hello everyone,

I've been playing The Sims 2 Legacy flawlessly the last few days. Just started Steam and updated the game. Unfortunately, the game crashes while loading my main family (Dreamview, 3 people, no pets, worked fine yesterday evening). However, I can load other families without any errors... Whyyyy did it affect the one family I was playing with?!
