Sims 2 disappeared

I believe this is a temporary bug with the EA App, I’ve seen the other thread about this and supposedly it should be fixed, although you may need to rename the “The Sims 2 Legacy” folder in Documents to get the game to re-install if it’s not detecting itself being installed.
what helped me is uninstalling the windows update number KB5050009, restarting the pc and the update installs itself again and the game works again.
