Sims still dissapearing... again. The Sims 2 Legacy collection

Here is the problem : The **bleep** game still broken, right?. All the sims dissapeard everytime they visit a community lot. At least, that's what happened to me. The loading screen hangs for several minutes... even hours, and if you restart the game, everything will be gone. No matter if you save the game. EA needs to fix that bug ASAP, otherwise the game will be unplayable. Does anyone else have experienced such a thing? :((

In details: I created my own household. I spent several hours creating the perfect house. I saved the game, and I decided to sent one of my sims to Downtown... such a fatal mistake I guess. When my sim tried to return to her home, the loading screen hanged for a ridiculous amount of time... So I decided to restart the game. (I had saved the game, so in my mind, I thought that everything would be ok) Guess what? The entire progress went directly to the bin.

    Did you create a new save file after patch 3? Like: delete neighborhood folder and restart the game. That fixed the issue for me.

    Yeah indeed!!! That is what I found in SimPE as well :(((
    Actually, I watched something about it in a YouTube video... something about an inventory token or something like that. It seems that the files that act as savers of information are lacking their functionality... or maybe they even don't exist anymore. I hope EA fixes these kind of fatal glitches ASAP... You know what I mean? C'mon... These kinds of glitches or "bugs" are absolutely disastrous. How are we supposed to enjoy the fricking gameplay if such an important thing is broken? 

    Furthermore, I think April Black talks about these in her last video.

    I was playing a student in university and saved several times during the progress. The next day when I was starting up the Sims again she was completely gone.

    I then started with a new household (one woman) who grew her family with a cat, husband and 6 children, this worked fine for days, until at a certain moment they moved houses and the second youngest child just disappeared out of the game (out of the household/family tree and out of memories). 

    This is really making the game unplayable.

    I guess the only solution at the moment is to ask for a refund. I mean, such an important mechanic is broken, and regardless of the patch notes 2 and 3 the game is still broken. How sad... The Sims 2 will be forever my favorite game... but this "new" version is just a piece of buggy garbage. And apparently EA can't fix such a thing... weren't they supposed to release it in perfect conditions? or at least repair this atrocious glitch at the very beginning?
