Sims 2 error (not responding - shutting down) whenever first clicking on screen

Hi! Just bought and installed The Sims 2: Legacy Collection. My computer meets all of the requirements but the game only opens (intro and squares), but then nothing more happens. Whenever I then click on the screen everything the window minimizez, goes into "not responding" and then shuts down. I have tried "repair" through the EA app and also uninstalled and installed it again, but it still works (or doesn't work) the same way..

I have earlier played the sims 4 on this computer and that worked just fine. (No longer installed)

Thanks in advance for the guidance :) So thrilled about The Sims 2 being back!!

The error message. Translation "The Sims 2 Legacy is not responding"
