Sims 2 is not loading

Firstly, hi everybody! I installed The Sims 2 about two days ago and it opened without any issues. However after a while, game made a "Crash" error. So I clicked on the option to repair the game. After that, I didn't launch the game again. Today, when I tried to open the game, it wouldn't start. So, I decided to uninstall and reinstall it. However this time it won't install either--LOL. When I try to install it, the "Disk Space Required" section appears empty. I bought the game from Epic Games but linked it to the EA App. Can you help me, please? By the way, I have plenty of free disk space.
