Sims 2 Legacy : 'Application has crashed, application will now terminate.'

If people put -w in the advanced launch options it may fix the problem. Click on the game, hit manage, view properties, -w

I do  as well and on top of that my game is full of bugs and unplayable in certain ways :(

Update:
Now it crached even more, I make family with dog and then when I move in dog disapears, there is certain things from game that are missing which I do remember that I has when I was a kid and using my discs, my sims age super fast that it's unplayable (like what the hell), for my dog (schold or praise) is not being saved or progressed at all... and many many more bugs...

I am having the same problem, either when I start up a new town, or create a sim, it doesn't work either way

Also having same issue and then my computer blue screened immediately after. Went to create a new family and once I finished with that it gave me that error and the game crashed.

I have the same problem! Made a couple and a dog in Pleasantview and it crashed as soon as I left CAS 

I’ve been on the same family all day been playing well. I just saved the game as I had a new baby and then it crashed. I loaded up 3 times and each time it got to 1 am it would crash !

Same error here. Lets hope for a fix soon!
