Help! Missing Sims 2 content

Strange. It looks like a lot of data is missing for some reason. Did you try renaming the Legacy folder (to something like Legacy.bak) and then loading up to see if the game regenerated everything properly? Also, I'm not sure how making copies of the neighborhoods from program files would have messed up your computer, all it should do is replace the existing neighborhoods. What exactly did you actually do?

if LadyGray01's tip doesn't work, try uninstalling the game again and cleaning up the registry. Then reinstall the game and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks for the tip but when I renamed the folder it still the same. I copied the neighborhood folders from the program files and put them in the Legacy Folder in the documents folder.

Hmm. Do you have One Drive folders? Even if it's disabled, the game can still use the folders. Mine did. So on my computer I have a copy of the files in my documents, but editing those does nothing because the game isn't using them. There is another copy of all the game files in MYName/OneDrive/Documents, and that is the one my game uses. I figured it out after attempting to edit the neighborhoods in Documents and nothing changing. After editing the ones in the OneDrive/Documents folder instead, my game did what I wanted it to do.

Hi Sorry for the late response and thanks so much for you're help but I've been unable to resolve this. I think it was Onedrive that caused all this in the first place. I keep trying to ask EA for help but they still have not replied. I can't even request a refund or speak with a human at all. I'm not sure why they haven't responded I've run out of ways to contact them for help. Looks like I'm just stuck with a game I cannot play. Feel at little robbed tbh coz I used to love this game when I was a kid 😭 I might try and and ask a computer store see if they can help

Hey! Did you get the neighbourhoods & files back? I got on today for the first time in awhile & seen I only had two neighbourhoods, Pleasantview & Riverblossom.

It was difficult to speak with them they don't give you a lot of time to type and I had to keep re-explaining the problem every time they transferred me to someone else even though they told me I wouldn't need to. I did eventually get through though and they were nice and helpful.

When I explained the issue they told me to try this:

1. Ensure that both the EA app and Steam are closed.
2. Press the Windows key and "R" simultaneously on your keyboard.
3. Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotation marks) into the newly opened window and press ENTER.
4. Move the "License" folder to your desktop.
5.  Restart your PC and check if the changes have resolved the issue.

Unfortunately this still didn't resolve the issue in my case and when I contacted them back they said it appears to be a potential bug, they will document and investigate it further. They couldn't say when it would be resolved but that updates would appear in-game.
