Sims 2 Legacy bundle crashing from pet career

Hey I had the same issue saved just before my pet came home from his career & was stuck in a loop, I managed to move them to a different property, which then gave me enough time to quit the pet career for my cat, since then no crashes (touch wood) hope this helps 😀 

Hey all!!!! Thought I would share incase it helps someone else! But I ran into this issue and clicked the phone and had my sim call my pets job and quit it and it finally sent my pet home without error :D

call your pets job and have them quit!!

I am having this same issue, among many other issues! I hope they fix this game soon!

I ran into this issue with my pet, and saved my game right after they'd left for work so was also stuck in an endless loop of crashing. This is how I was able to get out of the loop using cheats:

1. Use Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat window at the top of the screen.
2. Type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter.
3. As soon as the carpool shows up to bring your pet home from work, Shift + Click on the car which should bring up a pie menu. (You have to be quick with this to make sure your pet doesn't get out of the car first).
4. Select Force Error which will bring up an Object Error window with the options Cancel, Reset, and Delete (DO NOT select Delete).
5. Select Reset.

This should reset the car and allow your pet to exit it without the game crashing, although it is not a permanent fix, so unless you do the exact same thing again it will continue to crash the next time your pet gets home from work. I would suggest using the phone to call your pet's job and make them quit like others have mentioned here until the issue is properly fixed.

Happened with my game as well. Taught the command to my dog and it would not show up in the dogs memories. When the dog went to work (was supposed to be promoted) and came back the game crashed. I had got the notification that the dog learned the command, but it was not in the dogs memories. 

I was able to end the crash cycle by calling the pet job and quitting prior to their return home. If you saved right before it crashes, that might not help, but maybe it'll save somebody a headache. 

I have had this problem. It’s been my only one so far. I made a new family and still experienced it. I moved them out and back in to still encounter it. I have since had an unemployed cat until I see something that says it’s fixed.
