Sims 2 legacy collection i only have twins

Question

I've been playing on Pleasantview with the premade families, and all the sims that have gotten pregnant have birthed twins. I'm assuming this is an issue with the legacy collection since I've played with those families years ago and never have sims before, and it's a bit weird that they're all having twins now :(

I'm currently playing in a selfmade neighborhood. But I had two families giving birth to twins who normally shouldn't have: Their aspirations are Romance and Popularity, I haven't used any cheats and no cheesecake for them. It's funny, but also weird since twins shouldn't be that common.
