Sims 2 Legacy Collection
I purchased the Sims 2 Legacy Collection for my PC upstairs and I wanted to know if I could also use on my laptop? What happens if the computer it is on stops working?
Thank you

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you are wondering if you could play the same game, on the same account with a different device, then yes, but it depends on how good and stable your laptop is, so might want to check on that. If it isn't what you mean, let me know what you do, and I'll try to give some feedback!
As long as your laptop meets the requirements, which it probably does, then yes. You can install the EA app on any computer in your house and play any of the games you own that are compatible. I have it installed on my daughter's Mac desktop, my Mac laptop, and on my Windows desktop. Sims 2 is only playable on the Windows desktop, but I can still see it in the library of the other machines and if I were to set up Windows partitions on them, it would download and play.
Wayyyyy back before the EA app, before Origin, when it was the EA downloader, there was a limit of 5 machines total. Seems okay in theory. Just make sure you remove the game and app from a computer before installing it on a new one. But when a computer simply died or was stolen or you just forgot before replacing the computer, then you were stuck with those computers on the list. And if more than one person in the house is using your account, then you are down another computer or two (I have 4 kids). I hit the 5 machine limit several times and had to call customer service, explain, and have them reset it. Since they got rid of the limit when they changed to Origin, I'm guessing they realized what a bad idea that was.
Yes, that is what I mean but how do I do that? I don't see a code or any option to download it when I sign on from another computer. Thank you.
I did figure out that I have to install the EA app first, which I did on my one laptop. I can see the game in my library, but don't see any option to download it. There is no code. What are the steps to download it please? Thank you.
When you look at the games in your library, is there a small downward facing arrow on the right side of the game's picture? Or if you are in the Home tab, is there an arrow beside the name of the game on the left side? There should be. You should be able to click on that and it will start the download and install process. If there isn't, you can try quitting and restarting the EA App and see if it appears. I own Sims 3, but it isn't installed. Sometimes when I open my library, it isn't there, but when I open the EA App again it is.
When I look at my games in library, there is no downward facing arrow anywhere. Just a play arrow. I tried quitting and restarting the app and didn't help.
I know this is obvious, but if it has the play arrow, it should play when you click on it. But it doesn't? If you look in your Documents folder, is the Sims 2 folder in there? (It might also be in One Drive/ Documents).
