Sims 2 Legacy crashing while in buy mode

I've been playing for a few days now with virtually 0 problems up until an hour or 2 ago. When ever I go to into buy mode and click on the seating category (the chair), my game will terminate. I do play with CC but I wasn't have any problems with it this entire time. I've also turned custom content off to see if that was the problem but no luck. Anyone having a similar experience?
