dianachar The Sims 1 and 2 rereleases are Windows-only. While you could Bootcamp an Intel Mac and run the game in Windows that way, ARM Macs don't support this, and the games don't appear to run at all in Parallels. I haven't yet seen a report of Sims 2 working on an ARM Mac.
So no, the new release of Sims 2 won't run on your Mac unless it's an Intel model and you're willing to partition the hard drive to install Windows on one side.
However, the version of Sims 2 on the App Store does run on ARM Macs, if you want to try that instead.

My Mac is not Intel sadly. I have Aspir version from App Store, but it's not full. So I wanted to play Apartments again.
Anyway, Thank you for the reply!

Let's hope for a Mac version, as there is already one on the App Store. On the meantime, lets try to run it through whisky/crossover
