I have Sims 2 UC from origin installed on my win 10 pc.
I had to fix the black squares under Sims, which didn't fix just by changing shadows in settings. I had to mess with the files.
I also had to edit in more resolutions since I only had one very low resolution, which was also in a file.
And I removed all traces of SecruROM before I ever even started UC. After doing/fixing those 3 things, it plays no problems now. :)
I don't recall the exact steps, but you can Google any of that and find the tutorials. First I'd do is the SecrROM, then go from there.
