Sims 2 Product Code Activates as Spore – Need Manual Fix
Hi EA Support/Mods,
I’m trying to activate my physical copy of *The Sims 2* and I’ve hit a frustrating issue with no resolution after 2 hours of live chat with 2 separate people.
When I enter the code printed on the original box, it activates as *Spore* in the EA app instead of *The Sims 2*. I’ve confirmed that I have the correct disc, packaging, and code — it’s a real boxed copy with a valid-looking serial. But the game won’t install because of this incorrect linking, and EA support chat has not been able to help — they told me to go back to the retailer (which I no longer remember).
Here’s what I have:
- Physical box and disc
- Barcode: 4014377402178
- Code printed inside the case
- Proof photos (attached)
This seems like an issue with how the product key is mapped in EA’s system. I’m not asking for a refund — I just want to access the game I actually own.
Could someone on the community team escalate this to have *The Sims 2* manually added to my EA account or reissued with a valid entitlement?
