Hi,
Stairs in the Sims 2 are bugging out, I am not sure if this has happened since the latest update as placing stairs before was okay.
What happens is I place stairs on the porch of a pre-made house and the stairs either disappear after a few minutes or they disappear but are still visible, yet I am unable to remove it and the sim cannot use the stairs. Please assist when possible as my sims obviously cannot access the house if there are stairs.

Same issue happening to me on random lots. Prebuilt or new builds I do. I’m hoping for a fix next patch.
I was worried it was only me XD Holding thumbs for a fix soon.
Today there was an update, however the stairs issues is still there.
simaholic1025are you going back to the same lots that had this issue because I think the patch corrects it going forward, not existing glitches on the lots. Or do you mean the bug is happening on new lots/builds?
Because I went back to test my lots that had this issue and it was still happening so I force deleted all the stairs on the lot, replaced them down and everything works as it should now.
It is for the same lots, I have been too scared to use stairs anywhere else since then. Let me try the force delete again and see what happens. Did you use "deleteallobjects stairs" to force delete? Just so I make sure its the same one ^^
simaholic1025 You can enable testing cheats (boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true) and Shift-click on each step, then Force Error to delete it. It can tedious if you have a lot of staircases, but newly placed stairs should work.
Alright, I have done all of that. My porch stairs do not move :( The stairs in the house will be deleted once I force delete. I can make money with the porch stairs by constantly deleting it because they don't actually get deleted. >_<
simaholic1025 Connecting stairs (such as porch stairs) cannot be picked up normally, but you should be able to force an error on them and delete them using the Delete button on the error message; it has to be done for each step on the staircase one by one.
I finally managed to delete the stairs based on your description. Thank you for helping with that. 😄
However, I cannot place the fence in the spot of where I force deleted the stairs.... I got so excited just to be shot down again haha 😂 Any idea on how to solve that ? 🤔 It reads "Cannot intersect other objects".
simaholic1025 The only thing that comes to mind is a mod, Stuck Object Remover. I won't link it here but a Google search should lead you there; you'll know when you see it. Perhaps that will remove whatever is left of the stairs.
