Sims 2 Ultimate Collection vs Legacy Collection

EA, for those of us who have had the entire TS2 collection, and had spent a lot of money on it, shouldn't we be able to get the Legacy Collection if we already have the Ultimate Collection in our account?  Doesn't seem right to have paid so much money on a game that is now unplayable, now you re-release it .  We long time fans/ players should be able to access this Legacy Collection.  That said, I sure as heckfire don't want to spend more money on it, with all the crash/ bug reports I am seeing..whewwww!
