Stuck on vacation the sims 2 legacy

I have the same problem...  I can hear my sims and loading music, but I'm stuck on loading screen... please EA fix this

Same here 😔 Can hear the background music or noise but the loading screen is stucking there forever.

I’m so upset I was playing with this family for ages and now I cannot carry on their story because of the infinite loading ☹️ 

I have this same issue. A work around for now until they hopefully fix this is to go to the neighborhood that your sims live in, go to the destinations tab, and delete the neighborhood that your sims are vacationing in.  Go back to the lot your family is at and it will load them back home. Don't create the vacation destination until you load back into your sims lot or it will still say they are vacationing!

Thank you, this helped a lot. Fortunately they didn't loose the memories of the vacation and the relationships they build there and even the shopped souvenirs are still in there inventory (from the lot the game stucked). Lifesafer! Hope there comes a patch from EA soon. 

Can you explain a Little bit more please? If My sim is in twikkii Island, i have to delete the entire Island? If yes, how do you do that?

You just need to go to the menu where you added the vacation destinations at the beginning. It's the vacation button with the airplane in your main neighborhood. Then you could choose between Twikki Island, Three Lakes and the japanese vacation destination. Click on Twikki Island, because in your case your Sims are there. Don't click on the playbutton. In this pop-up there must be a Symbol of a bin, click on that bin and Twikki Island would be deleted. 

I have also experienced this but had a different outcome than others. It happened to me once when I wanted to start the vacation. I force closed the game and started it back up. I went to the family and the sims were in a taxi returning from the vacation. I did not lose the household. Vacation spot was Three Lakes Cabin.
